Welcome to Kent Metropolitan Leagues
Welcome to the Kent Metropolitan League website.

The KentMet League was set up initially for the 1997/1998 season. It was the natural development, following the success the previous season of the East Kent Leagues that was created by John Carley.

There are five league tables drawn from the junior sides of the rugby clubs in the
North West area of Kent, and the South East quadrant of London. Some 26 clubs are involved in providing 55 teams, that are evenly spread over the five leagues. In recognition of the main County sponsors for Kent RFU, Shepherd Neame Limited, three of our five leagues have been named after one of the brewer's ales, and so we have the following leagues, Premier, Bishops Finger, Conference, Master Brew, and Late Red.

The main aim is to encourage the playing of meaningful rugby at the senior level, by providing, as full as possible, a fixture list for the season at the appropriate level, and with the minimum of traveling. Automatic promotion and relegation does not occur, but at the end of the each season, amendments are made depending upon a team’s performance. Ultimately, we are trying to provide 30 plus players the chance to enjoy themselves each Saturday, and indirectly, by having a full workable Fixture List for the season, helping the clubs financially.

The final results of the season have now been posted, and congratulations to the winners and runners-up of each league. We shall be having our AGM on 12th June at Beckenham RFC at 7.30. Clive

Sorry for the delay, yet again a couple of late results, but the results and tables are now posted. Will you please let me have the results a.s.p.a. as I need to order the trophies for Kent Dinner, which is on the 15th May. Clive

A couple of results were again late in being reported, mainly due to teams thinking as the game is c/o it is not necessary to report it. I'm not a mind reader!!!
With several clubs not having 1st team games some results did look unusual. I hope it will not be repeated on the w/e of the 19th. Clive

Sorry for the delay in getting the results out but it is due to a couple of late results and my tardiness. Please note that WP Nomads have been deducted 2 pts for fielding a strengthened team against Darts. This was brought to our attention by WP and not by Darts.
The c/o's are becoming a real problem, 6 out of 26 games, and a few quite late as well. Hopefully it will improve for the last 2 or 3 weeks of the season. Clive
