The Leagues will be called:
a) Metropolitan Leagues
b) East Kent Leagues
c) Mid Kent and East Sussex Leagues
|
|
2.
|
|
Clubs in the Metropolitan, East and
mid Kent areas as defined
in the County Handbook may participate in
their respective area leagues. Clubs may move between areas by agreement.
Other Clubs may join the leagues, provided they join the KCRFU as
affiliated members.
|
|

|
|
Each Area shall elect a Committee
annually at its Annual General Meeting, comprising a Chairman, Secretary,
Treasurer, plus three Committee Members. The County's Group Representatives
will be invited to serve on their respective League committees.
|
|

|
|
Matches will be played on a Home and
Away basis with clubsbeing responsible for arranging their own fixtures.
All matches shall be played by the 30th April each year and any games not
played by that date shall be void.
|

|
|
All clubs must send a Fixture List,
by the 1st September each year, to their represenative League Secretary.
|
|
6.
|
|
Both clubs MUST report
results, IN WRITING to their respective League Secretary, within FOUR
DAYS of matches being played, on the cards provided.
|
|

|
|
League tables will be sent to clubs
on a regular basis.
|
|
8.
|
|
An annual fee of £15.00 (fifteen
pounds only) to be paid for each XV entered, provided that should the fee
be paid by 30th November each season, a 33% reduction to the fee will be
made. Any such fee may be amended at an Area League AGM. To be sent to Terry Kirk (see contact
list), cheques payable to KCRFU Metropolitan Leagues.

|
The scoring system will be 3 (three)
points for a win, 2 (two) points for a draw, 1 (one) point for playing. A
BONUS system will operate this year, which will be 1 point, to a side that
loses by 10 or less points.

|
If matches are not played on scheduled
dates and if the reason is not acceptable to the respective Area Committee,
the defaulting team will be deemed to have lost the game.
|
|
11.
|
|
Regardless of the score in any game
the biggest points difference that will be entered for League table
purposes will be 40 points.
|
|
12.
|
|
Replacements will be three from
three. IT IS RECOMMENDED that if one team has less than 15 players and the
other team has replacements, the replacements be encouraged to play for the
opposition.
|

|
Any team which withdraws from the
Leagues will have ALL points and scores deleted in the League
tables.
|
|
14.
|
|
All disputes will be dealt with by
the respective League Committee, subject to an appeal to the Kent County
Competitions Sub-Committee, whose decision will be final. PLease note that
any complaint regarding a match or a result of a match must be notified
within 14 days to the relevant League Secretary and any appeal must be sent
to the KCRFU Competitions Secretary within 14 days of receiving the Area
Committee decision.

|
The Leagues are for 2nd, 3rd, 4th
and 5th XV's of clubs in the Kent Divisional Leagues of the English Club
Championships or teams from non-League Clubs. Any club playing in or which
gains promotion to the London and South East
Leagues of the English Club Championships will be invited to enter their
3rd, 4th and 5th XV's in the Leagues.

|
Presentation of the trophies will be
made to the winning clubs at the end of the season. The plaques for the
winners and runners-up will be paid for and provided by the Kent County
Rugby Football Union.
